I was born in Istanbul in 1992. I completed my secondary education at Üsküdar American Academy and my high school at Saint Benoît French High School.
The first thing that taught me at a young age that art is a form of expression was painting. Once that connection was made, transforming my inner world — my experiences or the things I couldn't experience — into an art form became a natural reflex for me.
I studied Visual Communication Design for a year at Bahçeşehir University, during which I also took painting classes. Later, I pursued Acting at Istanbul Aydın University. I also studied Musical Theatre for a year at Istanbul University State Conservatory. Although I couldn't complete it due to the demanding schedule of TV series work, that year immersed in music, acting, and dance further strengthened my desire for multidisciplinary creation.
I have been working professionally as an actor since 2008. I write, compose, and sing my own songs. For those interested, you can find me on Spotify.
Painting, however, was an area I kept my distance from for many years. Perhaps it was because, from a young age, I noticed how individual creativity could lose its uniqueness under subjective tastes — a realization I first encountered through painting.
This year, to remember the freedom of creating without overthinking the outcome, I returned to the canvas. I will keep painting as long as it doesn't break my heart.
Even then… maybe we'll find a way.
